Santa and some errant reindeer, on a mindblowingly complex annual tour, are scheduled to swing by the National Trust for Scotland’s Arduaine Garden for some festive family fun on 13th and 14th December.
The Santa tour stops off at Arduaine every year and the man himself will be listening carefully to Christmas wishes and posing for photographs. He might even give out a few gifts to children who are on the ‘nice’ list.
A new addition for Christmas 2014 is the Hunt for Santa’s Reindeer Trail – young visitors can follow the clues around this glorious West Coast garden to help Santa track down his mischievous reindeer, who’ve got themselves scattered all over the place.
Arduaine Garden is a glorious coastal spot with beautiful woodlands, wonderful viewpoints and a relaxing water garden. The varied planting provides interest all year round, with stunning views over the Sound of Jura.
It’s also right beside the renowned Loch Melfort Hotel, so creature comforts and yet more spectacular views, are easily achievable alongside an energetic hunt for Santa’s hide-and-seek reindeer around Arduaine Garden.
The Santa visit event runs from 1pm – 3.30pm on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th December, costs £3.50 and offers the best excuse for a winter visit to this unique garden.
