The Isle of Arran can only be reached, at the moment, from the Tarbert to Lochranza service which is on AMBER alert. With Arran’s main service from Ardrossan to Brodick, the 08.20 sailing from Brodick managed to berth at Ardrossan – but weather conditions have led to the service being CANCELLED for the rest of the day, as of 09.45.  A decision regarding sailings on 10th December will be made later today although the forecast is poor and disruptions and cancellations are very likely. CalMac considered using Gourock as a port of refuge for this service but the current weather conditions have ruled this is not a viable option.
